Qinghai Lake Tour Stage Five

Today’s stage was raced in dismal weather conditions. Riders were freezing cold in the rain, sudden drop in temperatures and cross-winds. It was almost like some of the weather we get in New Zealand and today was a much better day for the Subway-Avanti NZL team as they all finished reasonably well. Later on in the day, the weather cleared up and it became a lovely sunny afternoon and I took the opportunity to go training on the bike along the road that traverses along the shores of Qinghai Lake. The photos are worth a thousand words, so enjoy!
