The Tour of Luzon in the Philippines begins tomorrow afternoon, kicking off with a 70km criterium around the Malls of Asia in Manila. There are five international teams represented here from New Zealand, South Africa, USA, Hong Kong and Australia. The rest are local Phillipino Teams.
I am guest riding for CCN-Colossi during this tour and look forward to starting my first race of 2010. I will be bringing you first-hand reports of the Tour over the next 10 days from a racer perspective.
The Tour of Luzon is going to be more than 800kms following a route that consists of street races (criteriums, time-trials, flat/rolling road stages and mountains). There is a small field of 70 riders, but it promises to be exciting and tough racing. Stay tuned for up-dates from me soon.
